Multiple Abseils from 10m up to 50m

  • 400 UAE dirhams
  • Jebel Jais Rd

Service Description

SunnySide Canyon gained its name as it is always in the sun, which gives it amazing views, especially to the finish point, which you can see from the very first abseil. The canyon is located just a short drive further up the mountain, past before Bear Grylls camp. From the parking location, we will give everyone their safety equipment to put inside their backpack (you need to bring a backpack as you will need your hands free to hold the ropes to abseil with). After a short brief, there is a 30-minute walk to the start location. Before we head down into the canyon/wadi we will conduct a quick skills teaching session to familiarise you with the equipment and its use. From the very first abseil you will see the finish location, approximately 350m below on the Jebel Jais Road. There are several abseils to descend, all varying from 10m to 50m in height. Between each abseil is a short hike (approx. 100m) around boulders to the next descent. This is one of the great features of SunnySide canyon, no long hikes between all the action. Your instructors are highly experienced in the canyoning activity and have been running these canyons around Jebel Jais for over 15 years.
