Sign up for the UAE Mountain Leader Training Course and Assessment Course! By choosing this option, not only will you secure your spot in both courses, but you'll also enjoy significant savings. During the Mountain Leader Training Course, you'll gain knowledge and skills in group management, mountain navigation, hazard awareness and emergency procedures, equipment use, expedition planning and skills, and environmental considerations. Upon completion, you'll be well-equipped to handle the challenges that come with leading groups through the UAE's breathtaking mountain terrain. But that's just the beginning. After the training course, you'll have the opportunity to take the Mountain Leader Assessment Course. This four-day course (offered on weekdays or weekends) will test your knowledge and skills in leadership, night navigation, and more. With successful completion of the assessment course, you'll earn the coveted UAE Mountain Leader Certification from the Ras Al Khaimah Licensing Authority (RAKTDA), allowing you to apply for licensing as a UAE Mountain Leader. Please note that after completing the training course, you'll need to attend a Wilderness First Aid Course. We highly recommend the 'BLUE GAURD' course. Additionally, you'll need to provide evidence of 10 additional hikes before attending the assessment. Upon completion of the RAKTDA Certified Hiking Trail Leader Course, you will have the option to work for registered organizations or establish your own license with the Ras Al Khaimah Tourism Development Authority. It is important to note that in order to complete the assessment, you must possess a Wilderness First Aid certificate from 'Blues Guard', which is not included in the course and can be obtained either before or after completion of the course.
